Bhalobasar Ashroy is a social drama presenting the love of Subhojit and Urmila. The story starts with a rich pampered girl, Urmilla talking to her lover, Subhojit over phone. Subhojit belongs from a middle class family where his father needed 1 lakh rupees to get his daughter, Kabita married to a good man. His father was the employee in Urmila’s father’s office. Taking the advantage of this Urmila’s father gets rid of Subhojit from his daughter’s life by offering them the money for Kabita’s marriage. So Subhojit has to sacrifice his love for his family and left for Raipur in need of a job. There he met a rich girl Sarmila. Sarmila falls in love for Subhojit. But with his miserable life when Subhojit went to Sarmila’s place he met Urmila as Sarmila’s widow sister-in-law. Sarmila’s mother, Mamata regards Subhojit as his lost son and wants to see him. In the meantime Subhojit clarifies his mistakes to Urmila. But in fear of society and family she couldn’t accept Subhojit and hurts him.But when everyone realised their love and the pain in their life they tell Urmila to accept Subhojit and mingle up. So the story ends on a happy note where Urmila finally gets Subhojit and they lived happily ever after.
