Daagi is a social drama which portrays the life of a distraught man, Sundarlal, who is trying to rectify the other crimes and criminals and thus trying to bring a change in this society. The story starts during the time of India’s Partition. In this conflict, two brothers Krishna and Gopal come to Kolkata along with their mother. But due to an accident they are separated and their lives move on different tracks. Krishna grew up as Sundarlal Punjabi under the guidance of Dalit Singh Punjabi. Sundar fought against the anti social people of the society. As a result of which Sundar made many enemies like Kaliprasad and was even falsely accused of killing his father and sent to jail. That was his downfall and was regarded as a blemished man in the society and was avoided in every situation, after this incident. But with his strong motivation he built a team which tried to remove the anti social mentality from people’s minds and showed them a good path of life. The story ends on a happy note where Sundarlal is reunited with his beloved Leena, who was kidnapped by Kaliprasad, and meets his lost family.
