The Annapurna Boarding House, owned by Rajanibabu, is a peaceful place where Romola and Rampriti, a wealthy family member, fall in love. Rajanibabu, a go-between, keeps a love letter in his pocket, but his wife discovers it and suspects an extramarital affair. Rajanibabu arranges their marriage, but his wife becomes impatient and accuses him of infidelity. The residents mock them, and the film ends with Rampriti and Romola together at the marriage altar.
